Arsenal complete signing for long-term target Alexandre Lacazette on a five-years deal worth £52.7m from Lyon.
The France international has longed been link with a move to join Arsenal after Wenger identified him as his prime striker target and have been in serious talk with Lyon over sealing a deal for him.
Latest report in BBC now claims, an agreement has officially been reached with Ligue 1 giant and Lacazette flew-in to London from France on Tuesday morning to complete his medicals at the Colney training base.
With the market not currently open, the club official website confirmed Lacazette has joined for an undisclosed fee- although BBC claim we paid £46.5m which could rise to £52.6m including add ons.
In other words, Lacazette becomes our club record signing – Which is £4m more than what we paid Real Madrid for Ozil back in 2013-14 summer transfer window.
The French goal machine becomes our second summer signing following the arrival of Sead Kolasinac from Schalke and I personally think Lacazette will be a brilliant job by deliver some decent number of goals.
He netted 37 goals in his last season at Lyon and it’s right said that he is one of the best striker we have in Europe over the past three years so he’ll certainly be a good signing for Arsenal.
Lacazette have got some brilliant finishing technique so he should be a big upgrade on Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck.
